Screw Machine Department The Screw Machine Department is well equipped with a variety of types and sizes of machines and accessories. Screw machines include single and multiple spindle. The single spindle, Brown & Sharpe Machines, have capacity to 1-5/8". Acme, New Brittain and Davenport machines highlight the multi-spindle area. These machines have capacity to 3-1/2". Secondary Operations: Screw machine operations are backed up by a comprehensive operation department which includes centerless grinding, surface grinding and cylindrical grinding, mill operations in vertical and horizontal machines and automatic mills for slotting.
