Pressley - Code 231A
An instrument to determine the resistance of cotton fibers. It is fitted with clamps with space 0" and 1/8".
For the use of PRESSLEY a torsion balance up to 5 mg and resolution 0.1 mg is necessary (code 259B).

Torsion Balance - Code 259
For the weighing of small quantities of fibers or tufts.
They are available in the following capacities:
5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 mg

Micronaire - Code 199A
An instrument to control the fineness of cotton fibers.
The tester is supplied with the pump for the aspirated air. For wool fibers, a special model called AIR-FLOW is available (code 272A).
With the MICRONAIRE and the AIR-FLOW, a high precision electronic balance with accuracy 0,01 g is necessary.

Laboratory Carding Machine - Code 337A
Particularly suitable to prepare homogeneous colored fiber samples (felts).
Compact and totally protected model in accordance with CE safety rules.
The average production is about 4 Kg per hour.

Oil Extraction Apparatus - Code 273A
To obtain quickly (about 15 minutes) by cold processing the oil percentage present in fibers and yarns.
With this instrument the use of an analytic balance with accuracy 0,0001 g is absolutely necessary.

Top Tester - Code 328A
Instrument used for easy, rapid and accurate counting of the various impurities and neps in the tops.
Model with 6 counters for the selection of 6 different defects.

Microscope Model Campus - Code 191D
Binocular model particularly suitable to control the fibers.
Thanks to the combination between eyepieces and lenses, magnifications varying from 40X to 1000X can be obtained.
Equipped with micrometric stage carrier for object prospecting.
Possibility to apply a Reflex type camera.

Lanametro MP3 - Code 187A
Projection microscope on graduated Microns dial suited to the measurement of the fiber fineness.
Revolver suitable for 4 fixed-focus lenses for 125X - 250X - 500X and 1000X.

Microtome - Code 256A
Hand-driven model for the exact preparation of sections of fiber samples for microscopical analysis.

Electronic Wrap Reel For Slivers & Rovings
Available with drum circumference either 1 yard (code 254B) or 1 meter (code 254A). Adjustable drum speed from 0 to 100 m/min., with accuracy of =/- 1 cm; equipped with cutter. Particularly suited to customers wishing to have a perfect preparation without wrong ironing of the sliver sample to be tested.

"Romana" For Slivers & Rovings
To determine the count of slivers and rovings. The scale from Ne 0,08 to 2 with sample length of 7 yards is available for the cotton field (code 162B), while for the wool field there is a scale from Nm 0,10 to 1 with sample length of 10 m.
Special scales are available on specific request.

Testing Reel
Hand driven reel for slivers and rovings. Available with drum circumference of 1 meter (code 159A) or 1 yard (code 159B).

"Romana" For Noils - Code 164A
Suitable to determine the noils percentage. Equipped with 2 reading scales from 0 to 100% and from 0 to 500 g.

"Romana" For Noils - Code 164A
Suitable to determine the noils percentage. Equipped with 2 reading scales from 0 to 100% and from 0 to 500 g.

Double comb sorter - Code 230A
For the production of staple diagrams from short and medium staple fibres up to 100 mm (4") length. For long staple fibres, up to 250 mm (10") length, an alternative model, Code 230B, is available.
Built in accordance with: ISO 920, ASTM D 1440/1575, IWTO 1 -66 Net weight: Kg 4.5 Dimensions: (L)250x(W)150x(H)140 mm.

NATI Instrument (NEPS & Trash Indicator) - Code 3280
For objective and quick counting of neps and trash in slivers from carding, combing machines and drawing frames. Collected data is essential for the determination of raw material quality and the wear conditions of the clothing on both carding and combing machines.
Being very lightweight (Kg 20), it is easily trasportable and can be used near to the production machine.
The device is fitted with a suction system, for use with a 220 V 50/60 Hz supply.
Principle features:
  • Performance speed: the analysis of 1 meter sliver sample takes less than two minutes.
  • Data repeatability: manual preparation of sample does not influence final result.
  • Reading accuracy: besides the classical counting of neps over 0.7 mm, it is also able to read neps > 0.5 mm. As concerns trash, it is divided in two classes: >0.25 mm, >0.5 mm.
The device has a display for single data reading of Neps and Trash.
Optional: possibility for linkage to a printer for the reading of statistical data (average, standard deviation, CV%) every 5 tests. Fitted with RS232C output.
Net weight: Kg 20
Dimensions: (L)400x(W)300x(H)500 mm
