Carter Wire Company was established in 1979 as a ready source for high quality annealed wire for its parent company, A.B. Carter, Inc., a producer of ring travelers for the textile industry. Since that time, Carter Wire has become a major supplier to the appliance, automotive, broom and brush, textile and jewelry industries.

In 1987, Carter greatly expanded its production facilities to better serve the staple, fastener, communications, wire cloth and automotive industries.

Carter offers a wide range of packages and finishes to suite its customers needs. The packages include catch weight coils, reel-less coils, carriers, pay-off packs and 5-pound spools to 2200-pound reels.

In-house capabilities include rod breakdown, atmosphere annealing, acid cleaning, copper coating, plating quality and galvanized in sizes down to .015.
